Owens Corning Chopped Strand Mats

Owens Corning Chopped Strand Mats are composed of chopped glass fiber strands that are bonded together into mats, neither with an emulsion binder or with a small amount of highly soluble polyester powder. OC Chopped Strand Mats are designed to be compatible in resins such as unsaturated polyester (UP), vinyl ester (VE) and dicyclopentadiene (DCPD) systems, and are used as gelcoat backups and standard laminate reinforcements for most contact molding (hand lay-up) applications, including boats, surfboard panels, tanks and other applications.

Their many excellent product characteristics have been used for decades to provide superior performance in a broad range of end-use markets such as marine, transportation, recreation, construction, consumer and anti-corrosion.
